<p>There are many stitching tools out there. But many of them are either complicated to handle ore produce unusable or bad results. I tried many of them. The absolute best I found is <a href="http://www.autopano.net" title="Autopano Pro" target="_blank">Autopano Pro</a> from Kolor.</p>
<p>It has many very useful features like:</p>
<ul>
<li>Automatic Panorama detection and alignment</li>
<li>Color Correction</li>
<li>HDR (High Dynamic Range) Feature</li>
<li>Batch rendering</li>
</ul>
<p>any many more. On their homepage are many very nice <a href="http://www.autopano.net/applications/photography.html" title="Autopano Pro how-to" target="_blank">how-to</a> movies and examples to get an idea what all can be done with autopano.</p>
<p>The new version 1.4 works on MacOS, Linux and Windows. Which makes it usable everywhere.</p>
<p>Autopano is not really cheap, but definitely worth the money.</p>
<p>The Panorama above was stitched out of 16 Images made with a Canon 40D without a tripod.</p>
